Story Behind the Blue Butterfly
I had many second moms growing up. One such mom served as Hannah’s girl scout leader, MDO teacher, and Hannah’s best friend in school’s mom. Our mom and her knew each other well before us kids became friends. When Killian wanted to go to Spain for a soccer trip in high school, she came to the rescue and bought his passport. Today, we honor her with the Blue Butterfly Series. She has always loved blue butterflies and while we will leave it to her to tell her story behind it, we hope these pieces bring the same amount of joy to you as she has to us over the years!
Story Behind-I Love You Mostest
Probably do not need an explanation, but in our family competition is always a big deal. Therefore whenever it was time to go to sleep-there was always a pattern.
“I love you!”
“I love you more!”
I love you mostest!”
Story Behind-Computer Baby Onesies
As many of you know, we are CS majors. Hannah will tell you she fell in love with CS in high school because of this amazing CS teacher she had for the four years in high school. He had a baby while she was in high school and she made these onesies. Thought other CS parents may love them as well, so added them here in honor of how awesome he was!
Story Behind-Sing More Worry Less
Hannah had a great music teacher that would always say this to her and we think it is a motto you can’t live life without!
Story Behind the Red Beanies
During World War II, when Norway was occupied, ordinary people found quiet ways to resist. One of them was wearing a simple red knitted hat — a nisselue — a symbol of identity, unity, and refusal to disappear. It required no weapons and no words, yet it spoke clearly: we are still here. These beanies are inspired by that tradition of everyday courage. Words like neighbor, love, and resist echo the same idea — that solidarity, care for one another, and standing firm can be powerful acts. This isn’t just a hat. It’s a reminder that even small choices, worn openly, can carry meaning.
